DPS Digital Teaching & Learning Virtual Academy

Description
The Digital Teaching & Learning Virtual Academy (DTLVA) is an online workshop series delivered through Google Classroom. The Academy is organized around the five strands of the North Carolina Information and Technology Essential Standards and the North Carolina Professional Teaching Standards that emphasize communication, collaboration, technology utilization and integration.  In short, participants will learn fundamental skills and strategies to find, analyze, and share information using district-supported tools.  

Eligibility, Requirements, and Considerations
•  Only Durham Public Schools staff are eligible to participate.  
•  Participants will need to complete at least five hours of Digital Teaching and Learning-offered professional development  work to receive any credit.  
•  If a participant wants DTLVA CEUs to apply to the 2016-2017 certification year, he or she must complete at least five hours of work by June 20th, 2017.

The DTLVA is delivered through Google Classroom.

•  Each work workshop is organized into a broader, related, classroom topic.  
•  The topics are organized by skill level and application.
2.  Click on a title to learn its details.
3.  Follow the instructions on the workshop's page to find its join code that you will enter in Google Classroom.
