REQUIRED READINGS AND MATERIALS

REQUIRED TASK (1)
Set Up Account with at least one Access Code using this Quick Reference Guide and at least the Social Studies Access Codes 
If you already have an account add one more product using the Access Codes please make sure Social Studies (SFSSLR06NTEN00T) is added to your products.
Now that you have completed setting up access to Pearson SuccessNet, we now need to create a Class or Group.  Utilize the instructions in ASSESSMENT #1 to do so.
We will also assign students to the class created.

REQUIRED TASKS (2) & REQUIRED TASK (3)
We have created classes, assigned students to those classes and now we would want to learn how to search for specific material by  grade level, lexile level and/or topic in order to assign individual students texts by grade level, lexile level and/or topic.  We will now conduct a CSI investigation to do so.  See ASSESSMENTS #2 and #3 below.  Please remember to complete the quiz in Box #3.

ASSESSMENT:  CHECK FOR UNDERSTANDING

ASSESSMENT #1
Create a Class
  1. Once logged in, click Manage Classes and click Create a class/group.  Another option is to hover over the Classes tab and select Build New Classes.
  2. Enter a class/group name, "TestNo1".
  3. Enter a period number and/or section ID (optional)
  4. Select products to be used in this class/group.
  5. Click Save.
Assign Students to Class
  1. Click on the radio button next to the name of the class/group you created.
          
      2.  Click on the word "view" under the word "roster".
           
      3.  Click "add a student".
           
      4. Click "save and add another" if you want to add another student or just click "Save".

This item, RESOURCE, is a chart of lexile levels per grade level, your mission, should you except it is to follow the (3) boxes of clues below to locate the "text" I am referring to, click PLAY (upper lefthand corner of the box below) to begin.  Please make sure that the "quiz" is completed in Box #3:
