The resources listed below are to help guide and inform your work with your school's Media & Technology Advisory Committee (MTAC).
  • MTAC Overviewpurpose and responsibilities of an MTAC.
    • Purpose and Responsibilities of Committee:
      • Draft a school-level media and technology plan that aligns with the school and district plans and goals.
      • Identify and recommend purchases media and technology purchases necessary to achieve school goals.
      • Identify, schedule and plan necessary media and technology professional development necessary to achieve school goals.
      • Communicate the direction of media and technology to stakeholders outside of committee.
      • Collect feedback from stakeholders outside of committee for deliberation.
    • The committee should consist of the following members:
      • Principal
      • Technology facilitator (co-chair)
      • Media Coordinator (co-chair)
      • Representative from each grade level
      • Representative from each department
      • Parent representative
  • MTAC Invitation- invitation document to recruit MTAC members:
    • Principal
    • Teacher representative from each grade level or department
    • Teacher representative from special areas
    • Parent representative
    • Student representative (at the middle and high school levels)
