Are you a beginning public school teacher in your first, second or third year of teaching in Durham County or Person County? Do you need funds to build classroom resources or to provide an enrichment activity for your students?

Delta Kappa Gamma Society International, an organization of leading women educators, wants to support your classroom instruction. For the 2015-2016 school year, local chapters are offering nine $200 teacher grants to teachers at the beginning of their educational careers. Grants must target in-class instruction not field trips.

The Grant Application is attached below or you can contact Grants Coordinator,Gerry Larson, at  Geraldine.g.larson@gmail.com.

Complete, sign, and submit the application form and your responses by November 1, 2015.

In December, recipients will be announced and checks will be presented.

Don’t miss this opportunity to build a classroom library, acquire learning materials for your students, host a guest presenter, or involve students in a special project!

Please see the flyer below for more information.
