MS Math Placement

Durham Public Schools requires all schools to follow the math placement criteria outlined on this site. Aligning with the DPS Core Beliefs of Equity and High Expectations, it is our goal to provide equitable access to the most rigorous math course appropriate for each student. Matching each student with the most appropriate math course will enable them to reach their highest potential, ensuring growth and increasing academic achievement. This site contains documents and resources to aid in understanding math placement at the middle school level.
